Beneath visible structures and roles lies an often unseen network of relationships, communication patterns, trust, and mutual support. Like a mycorrhizal network, which connects individual plants together to transfer water, nitrogen, carbon and other minerals, this foundation quietly sustains the whole system, sharing resources, signaling stress, and supporting growth across difference.

Much of my work focuses on tending to this underlying layer through workplace culture assessment, conflict resolution, mediation, and dialogue. By helping organizations understand what is happening beneath the surface and strengthening the systems that connect people to one another, I support more resilient, communicative, and functional workplaces over time.

  • I’m a conflict resolution and operations professional with deep experience supporting small-to-medium nonprofits and mission-driven businesses. My work sits at the intersection of organizational systems, workplace culture, and strategic decision-making, with a particular focus on helping leaders see clearly what’s happening beneath the surface and translate that insight into practical action.

I design, deploy, and manage workplace surveys and qualitative inquiry processes to gather meaningful information about organizational culture, leadership dynamics, systems, and staff experience. I specialize in synthesizing complex and sometimes sensitive input into clear, actionable reports that leaders can actually use.

    Recent projects include:

    • Leadership hiring insight for a public-sector organization: I conducted confidential interviews with staff serving on a hiring panel for a new Director to capture qualitative input not reflected in interview scoring forms. The work surfaced staff perspectives on effective leadership, core priorities, and past successes and challenges, creating an anonymous channel that supported candor and provided leadership with critical context for a high-stakes hiring decision.

    • Organizational assessment and systems analysis for a regional public library system: As part of a two-person consulting team, I supported workplace culture and leadership assessment during a period of organizational change. This included confidential interviews, mediation, analysis of cross-departmental dynamics, and developing a leadership recommendations report for management and HR.

    • Values and priorities assessment for an arboretum’s long-range strategic plan: As part of a three-person consulting team supporting a non-profit arboretum, I helped design and implement surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders. I analyzed and synthesized qualitative and quantitative data into a final report that helped the Board of Directors clarify shared values and priorities to guide a five-year planning process.

    • Leadership 360 survey design and analysis for a city government office: As part of a three-person consulting team, I co-designed a leadership 360-review survey and was responsible for its deployment and management, as well as analysis and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data. Our team used these findings to present to leadership on organizational themes, leadership strengths, and system-level opportunities for improvement.

Across projects, I’m known for my ability to:

    • Ask thoughtful, well-timed questions that invite honesty

    • Hold complexity without overcomplicating

    • Translate lived experience into patterns and insights

    • Support leaders in making grounded, values-aligned decisions

I’m a strong fit for organizations seeking project-based or part-time support in areas such as organizational assessment, workplace culture, leadership decision-making, program or operations support, and strategic planning processes.

  • I’m an experienced administrative and operations professional offering virtual assistant support as an independent contractor. I bring a strong background in executive-level support and organizational management, and I often fill gaps between larger consulting projects with virtual assistant work.

I’ve held a wide range of roles over the course of my career, including Operations Director, Executive Director of two nonprofits, Program Manager, and Assistant to the President. This means I don’t just complete tasks; I understand context, priorities, and how decisions ripple across an organization.

I’m highly adaptable, a quick learner, and comfortable stepping into many kinds of support roles, including:

    • Client communications

    • Internal communications

    • Project coordination

    • Document drafting, editing, and formatting

    • Designing and supporting people-focused systems, including governance structures, decision-making processes, and internal conflict resolution practices that promote clarity, accountability, and healthy collaboration.

    • Creating and maintaining practical organizational systems, such as workflows, templates, and well-organized shared drives, that help teams work efficiently and find what they need with ease.

I’m especially well-suited to supporting leaders who need someone who can anticipate needs, exercise good judgment, and work independently without a lot of hand-holding.

I’m open to part-time, remote virtual assistant work and enjoy providing steady, reliable support that helps individuals and teams stay organized, focused, and moving forward.

  • From short-term initiatives to multi-phase projects, I provide steady coordination, follow-through, and structure so work moves forward without your constant oversight.
